Abigail ameen, BA, CCS, UW-AAB

Abi holds a Certificate in Canine Studies from the Northwest School of Canine Studies, a humane, science based, and positive reinforcement approach to dog training. After graduating with a BA in International Relations from the University of Puget Sound, she became a full time dog walker in Seattle. In spite of the MANY rainy days, Abi  realized that she had landed her dream job. To expand her knowledge of canine behavior and learn the most effective and humane training methods, Abi attended the Northwest School of Canine Studies and graduated the program as valedictorian.

Abi recently deepened her knowledge of animal behavior and the latest science in behavior and methods by earning her certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. She is also working towards earning another certification, the CPDT-KA.

Abi has poured her love for dogs and her passion for their happiness and health into her experiences as a dog walker, trainer, and doggy daycare attendant. She treats each doggy client as her own, and each dog is her favorite!

methods

Peak Puppy uses only scientifically backed positive reinforcement methods. We recognize that dominance theory has been unequivocally debunked, and positive reinforcement and enrichment are the most effective training methods according to Canine Learning Theory, a multitude of scientific studies on the matter, and personal experience.

**CO Peak Puppy will not use any aversive tools or methods during ANY services, for ANY dog, including choke collars, e-collars, prong collars, etc.**
